This position provides a student with in person one-on-one lessons that promotes compassion and tolerance, emotional security, resourcefulness, and independent critical thinking while addressing the individual academic and emotional needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Provide a one-to-one teaching experience in the areas of music instrumentation (voice, piano, guitar, and ukulele)
A minimum of 2 years experience in music education from an accredited College or University is necessary. An Associates Degree is required for consideration and a Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Solid subject matter knowledge in a majority of these areas: music composition, production, and instrumentation (voice, keyboard, and guitar).
A MUST: Must be a versatile instructor and great with children with the ability to teach different music genres. Specifically Pop, Classical, Jazz and Musical Theatre.
A plus: well-trained and grounded in the principles of vocals and singing: Teaching credentials are a plus but are not mandatory. Experience with students with learning differences and ADHD is a plus as well as mentoring experience.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, well organized, competent in basic computer skills, and is an individual who is eager to work in a highly dynamic, energetic studio setting.
Work 2 to 3+ days a week in person is required.
The right candidate will be able to teach lessons on NO LESS THAN 2 of the musical instruments.
Bilingual in Spanish, is a plus but not necessary.
