Field Superintendent Provides the daily supervision on all installation projects. Must be able to supervise large crews. Must be able to develop work schedules and assignments. Must be proficient in maintain project schedules, paperwork and customer relations. Must be skilled in all aspects of window installations. The Ideal Candidate High school diploma or GED Bachelor's degree in construction management would be huge Must possess a valid driver’s license. Clean DMV history and pass background check The ideal candidate will possess the following minimum requirements to be considered: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and or/construction related window installation industry in a role of significant leadership. • Demonstrated record of accomplishment and creative problem solving. • Must have excellent leadership experience, sense of urgency and a natural ability to work in a fast paced and growing environment. • Spanish language capability a strong plus. • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, S.F. and Internet. • Excellent verbal communication skills required. • Must be comfortable with hands-on work environment. • Some Travel. Tasks, at a minimum, will include: * Ensure proper flow and coordination of all installation work * Manage all aspects of building process according to established quality standards * Maintain construction schedule and manage costs * Conducts daily site inspections of all crew chiefs work to monitor progress and anticipate problems * Ensure proper safety procedures are followed at all times * Conduct weekly safety meetings (Tailgates) * Ensure crew chiefs & installers are conducting safety meetings required by OSHA and AAMA on worksite * Ensure proper documentation is kept regarding Daily Logs: jobsite progress and problems, accident reports, safety issues and possible delays * Conduct meetings with H.O.A.s & City Officials to implement proper installation of permits if needed * Responsible for material control of all construction materials in warehouse and at site * Other miscellaneous duties as required by the job/client * Ability to formulate job schedules and forecast for potential delays *Strong, proactive management skills to oversee labor staff, including subcontractors, to ensure completion of project on time and on budget *Communicates directly with clients including scheduling work in accordance with their needs, both onsite and offsite as well as project management. *Leading and working with certain crews as the acting Foreman, if needed *Report directly to the Operations/Product V.P. and the General Sales Manager *Addressing complaints and resolving problems. *Manage up to eight subordinate Crew Chiefs who in turn supervise up to 16 employees on teams *Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. *Interviewing, hiring and training employees. *Planning, assigning and directing work. *Appraising performance. *Rewarding and disciplining employees.
