In-House Parts Counter Person - Swing Shift 2:30pm – 11:00pm (Springfield Shop) Morris O. Nelson & Sons Trucking is seeking a Parts Clerk for the Parts Department (Springfield) to join our team. The position will consist of pulling parts from inventory and ordering parts for the shop mechanics, upkeeping and ordering stock inventory. Inputting service orders. Responsibilities and duties include but not limited to: - Pulling parts from inventory for in-house mechanics - Research and order parts from vendor(s) - Pick up parts from vendor(s) for mechanics - Distribute incoming special ordered parts - Check in parts and restock inventory - Check inventory daily and order from vendor(s) - Enter daily work orders into PCS - Issue purchase orders (PO’s) for parts ordered Qualifications – High school diploma or equivalent. – Knowledge of engines and parts pertaining to Kenworth (PACCAR), Cummins, and CAT – Demonstrated ability to learn, and grow in position – Dependable attendance – Valid driver’s license preferred. – FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Reasonable Suspicion Training – Responsible for recognizing and reporting conditions that make an unsafe work environment.
