Guitarist/singer looking to get a band together

Minneapolis MN
Description
Like the headline says, I'm a guitarist and singer in south Minneapolis, and I want to try to put something together, or at least find people to play with (both farting around at practice and, eventually, playing out). I write and play original material that spans a bunch of different areas: punk, alt-country-ish, and noisy art rock; I also like to play around with covers. Would love to link up with other people (I guess specifically other guitarists, bass players, drummers) who're also writing stuff, but that's not a requirement; just playing an instrument and being fun to play with is (and, y'know, the whole compatible-tastes thing) Bunch of other bullet points that might be relevant: - I don't have a practice space (or a PA). I'm definitely open to getting those things if a project comes together, but I guess it's worth knowing that for the moment I have to put the garage in "garage rock." - I'm in south Minneapolis and while I'm not like line-in-the-sand about locations or anything, I know from direct experience that the logistics of getting together with people get a lot more complicated once you get past the inner ring suburbs - My eventual goal is to get something together that practices every week most weeks and plays a few shows a year; so pretty-serious (but fun) hobby level, but certainly not like any "we're gonna DO THIS FOR A LIVING!" pro aspirations - I'm in my mid 40s; open to playing with people of any age that are compatible on personality and taste, but it seems like a good thing just to put the age out there. - I know the musical description up above was pretty vague; that's always tough. Let's put it this way: these are bands that I listen to a lot, and if a good percentage of them appeal to you, then we might be in business: Low, Spoon, Sleater-Kinney, St. Vincent, Eels, Juliana Hatfield, the Clash, Bowie, (older) Wilco, (older) Son Volt, Uncle Tupelo, the Flaming Lips, the Jayhawks, Sonic Youth, Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, the Replacements, Husker Du, the Breeders, the Mountain Goats, Iggy Pop, Buck Owens, I could go on but you probably get the picture by now. If you happen to know and love the Golden Smog record Weird Tales, you seriously need to reply. - for a band with multiple singers, I'd be especially interested in having a woman's voice to trade off with mine; this isn't to say "no singing men need respond," but I wanted to mention it, at least; every band I've ever been in has been all dudes, and while that's fine, it'd be nice to break the mold. - For singing, I'm not setting the world on fire with my technical ability, but I know what my voice can do and how to use it within that range. - For guitar, I move back and forth between electric and acoustic; I'm good at arrangements, can do some interesting lead stuff. But the ideal would be to have another guitarist in about the same place who could do a kind of split rhythm/lead thing. - Oh: please be vaccinated. I know that's a long laundry list of stuff, but past attempts to do this have taught me that it's a good idea to put as much as possible up front; if, after reading all this, you're still interested, get in touch and let's talk! (why the picture with guitars? I don't know, craigslist said images were a good idea. So: those are some of my guitars)
