The ideal candidate has a passion for quality workmanship and eagerness to go above and beyond when serving clients. J2’s focus in occupied multifamily remediation requires a strong sense of hospitality and “bedside manner” to keep long-term projects running smoothly. Our multidisciplined team performs assessments of existing buildings to diagnose performance issues and the cause of leaks and structural damage. Next, we provide repair scopes and design documents to effectively repair buildings. Then, we provide bidding and pre-construction services, work closely with contractors, and provide contract administration to guide owners through the repair process. We specialize in residential and commercial building envelope work ranging from apartments and condominiums, commercial, to high end residential. Responsibilities • Collaborate with in-house engineers and construction specialists • Direct the design and preparation of construction documents • Develop value engineering solutions for the client • Lead meetings and administer the construction contract during repairs • Communicate effectively throughout the process with the client and the project team • Give the team a high five for a job well done! Qualifications • Positive attitude; motivation to learn; takes ownership in work product • A willingness to learn and passion for quality work • Well-versed in technology, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office and 365 applications, Teams, Zoom, CRM tools • Building Enclosure specific experience (knowledge of siding, roofing, weather-resistive barriers (WRB), flashings, waterproof membranes, etc.) • Hand’s on construction experience is preferred (especially with building exteriors: siding, roofing, window installation, etc.) • Knowledge, experience or a desire to research and learn roofing, cladding and other exterior building assembly detailing. • Authoritative, but humble.
