A local underground utility construction company called Communication Construction and Engineering is hiring for a Fiber Optic Splicer
As a Fiber Splicer you should be capable of:
-splicing fiber optic cables
-installing splice case, including grounding, bonding, slack storage, and sealing
-preparing and maintaining splicing records, schematics, and diagrams
-reading and understand splice diagrams and network maps
-installing mid-sheath and mid-span splice
-perform testing of fiber networks using various fiber test equipment
-proper maintenance and care for fiber optic equipment
-ability to troubleshoot damaged fiber accurately and in a timely manner
-accurately fill out daily logs and turn them in to supervisor
As a Fiber Splicer you are responsible for:
-Completing the work you are assigned
-Time Management of yourself and any other people working with you
-Communication with Supervisor
-Maintaining Jobsite Safety along with safety of nearby people
-Crew tasks such as vehicle inventory, maintenance, and cleanliness
-Maintaining a drivers license and a clean driving record
-Working with clients, the public, and any other person nearby
-Be able to pass a drug test
