We have IMMEDIATE openings for General Laborers to take up manual labor tasks and support operations on various construction and railroad worksites. We’d like you to have stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads, work for hours outdoors regardless of temperature. You should be able to concentrate on performing your tasks and commit to safety rules. If you fit this description, and you’re also interested in doing tough but important work, we’d like to meet you. Responsibilities - Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks - Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material when needed - Perform landscaping and dirt work as needed - Assist welders, carpenters, painters or other tradespeople on-site - Handle and transport materials and equipment - Use power tools and machinery when needed - Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions Requirements - Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds etc.) - Good hand-eye coordination - Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus - Communication and teamwork skills - Commitment to safety rules - Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary - Must be able to pass drug screen and background check - with no felony convictions due to our contracts with the Department of Homeland Security - Must be authorized to work in the United States. - Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Benefits - Competitive hourly wage - Performance increases available after 90 day probationary period - Paid Holidays - One week paid vacation after first year of employment If you are looking for work or are tired of the work you currently doing, and you want to be part of a hardworking team that equally shares the load and respects team members who contribute equal effort, please respond to this email with a resume or of a brief description of your skill set.
