Active, adventurous college student seeks hiking and adventure partner. You should: - Like hiking and exploring new places in WNC. It’s a plus if you also like geekery and martial arts. - Have a reasonable level of fitness (comfortable walking at least five miles). - Enjoy the outdoors, even in inclement weather or other challenging conditions. - Be friendly, open-minded and enjoy intelligent conversation. - Be available for occasional overnight travel. - Have at least a high school degree or equivalent; some college preferred. - Have a valid driver's license, good driving skills and reliable transportation. Employer’s vehicle is available for use during work hours. - Be willing to undergo a criminal background screening. - Possess or be willing to obtain first aid and CPR certification, plus one additional training course. Current schedule is 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday or Sunday. We request and provide some flexibility in days and times. Total weekly hours will be around 20 hours. Please note that because we have two dogs who take their job of protecting our home and family seriously, bringing your own dog to work won’t be possible. Sorry about that! Pay is $20/hour, with a signing bonus of up to $1,000, paid in installments upon completion of one, three and six months of employment. Based in East Asheville. Interested?
