*EMERGENCY SITUATION* *MURCI’S MISSION ALUM IN DANGER* UPDATE 4:25PM: Additional information has been gathered confirming the break in and theft of Albus. The situation is serious and Albus is likely in peril. Please if you see a dog matching his description in or out of the Spokane area, try to take photos and let us know immediately. The SPD is working on a resolution so many details are still currently being withheld. Thank you for understanding and helping us find Albus. Albus, Mission alumni and beloved family member of Melanie is stolen or missing after a break in in Spokane, Washington this morning 09/02 between 7am and 9am. Known facts: •He was left in his kennel this morning and all was normal when Melanie departed for work at 7am. •He was wearing his collar and ID tag with Melanie's contact information when he was last seen this morning in her home. •He is microchipped with a current registration. •When the neighbor came to let him out for his 9:30 potty break, his crate was open and his leash was gone. Upon further investigation, Melanie's bedroom window was ajar as was the back sliding door. •Potting soil bags and some small yard equipment was placed in the back yard as if someone was going to be doing lawn work, but Melanie did not hire lawn care providers. •The back gate was closed, so the yard was secure when Albus was discovered missing. What we are doing now: •Reports made with SCRAPS and SPD. •Finding any possible surveillance footage. •Posting far and wide. •Collecting any possible leads to assist SPD and SCRAPS in their investigations. •Microchip reported as stolen (new as of 1:15pm) •Pawboost profile launch (new as of 1:20) What can you do to help: •Call Katie at or Melanie at immediately if seen, found, or if you stole him and would like to return him.
