Versitile Percussionists and Other Musicians Needed

The Mile High Community Band Concert Band is an adult (high school students welcome) community band of 40+ musicians (pre-pandemic numbers) that currently rehearses at Denver North High School and performs primarily in Jefferson County, Colorado. Our musicians are young and old, from intermediate to advanced avocational and professional players, playing a wide variety of music—including symphonic and jazz pieces, show and pop medleys, and marches. We rehearse weekly and perform approximately 4 concerts throughout the year. Percussionists - must be able to read music - we are particularly looking for someone who can play a variety of percussion instruments - instruments provided. We are also currently recruiting for clarinet, bass clarinet, oboe, flute, trombone, alto and tenor saxophone players, and percussionists. We are rebuilding after the pandemic. Rehearsals are weekly on Thursday evenings from 7:15 to 8:30 pm in the Instrumental Music Room at Denver North High School, 2960 North Speer Blvd. Our next concert is Thursday, September 16. You may also be able to play in our Jazz Band or Intermediate Band, perhaps on a second instrument, which meet from 6 pm to 7:10 pm on the same night and in the same location.
