Warehouse Associate (Seasonal)-- $15/hr Warehouse Associates pull, pack and ship Moosejaw merchandise to customers, handling each package with care and tons o’ love. We have a reputation of playing awesome music in the warehouse, a casual dress code, and dancing while working (hence the awesome music!). There are a variety of schedules available so we are pretty flexible, except when it comes to doing the splits. Then all bets are off. Essential Functions: -Ensure freight quality by inspecting freight for damage or misplacement -Fill orders by pulling merchandise correctly and effectively -Package merchandise correctly and efficiently by determining if a box or bag is to be used as well as correct sizing for packaging. -Determine if emptied boxes are re-usable based on size or damage; stock boxes into module. -Correctly pull merchandise for store replenishment. Competencies: -Freight Handling - Handles and processes freight in a safe and correct manner. -Customer Focused: Serve the Customer - Shows care and concern when filling customer orders. Think “would I want to receive my brand new, super cool Yeti Tumbler in a bag with dents?”… if the answer is no, use a box! -Judgment: Make Effective Choices - Uses policies, procedures, and/or guides to make good choices. -Planning and Improvement: Plan for and Improve Work - Accepts responsibility and meets expectations for own work. -Influence and Communicate: Share Information - Listens to others and asks questions to learn about what is needed. -Execution and Results: Get Results - Makes sure work is done correctly. Stays focused on own work when faced with change or difficulties. Stays open to and learns from assignments and feedback. Physical Activities: -Moves up and down stairs, including ladders. Not the cool ladders like you see in libraries in the movies, but a close 2nd. -Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. -Visually verifies/read information, often in small print. Visually locates merchandise and other objects. Visually inspects equipment. -Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping #StoopBoyNeverLeavesHisStoop -Stand/walk for extended periods of time. -Enter and locate information on a computer or system communication device. -Lift, push, pull, and carry merchandise, objects or equipment above shoulder level without assistance. -Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, using pallet jackets and/or dolly/hand trucks as needed. Work Environment: -Exposure to loud noises (i.e. those tunes referred to in the first paragraph of this exceeding long posting the warehouse is known for playing) -May work with substances that require special handling. -Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, and/or wet, damp, or drafty conditions. Moves over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces. Works at heights, move through narrow, enclosed, or elevated spaces. -Work weekends, and varying shifts. Work indoors for extended periods of time. -Exposure to diversity, including humans and K9s Entry Requirements: -Must be over the age of 18
