MASONRY HELPERS DIRECT HIRE: 1ST SHIFT WAGE: $18-$24/HR SUMMARY Lays building materials, including concrete and brick, and constructs or repairs surfaces or structures. All experience levels welcome. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Grinding and re-tuckpointing historical masonry walls • Supplies the masons • Stocks material • Builds scaffolds • Makes mortar • Cleans masonry units • Works safely and is familiar with OSHA requirements • Other mason tending duties required for masonry projects • Must have driver’s licenses • Must be self-motivated and willing to work under various weather conditions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and have knowledge of related tools, masonry techniques, equipment, and materials. Skill in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of masonry structures and surfaces.
