Fox Plumbing & Heating is adding an Equipment Operator / Fleet Assistant to our growing roster of employees. Required Qualifications: • Exceptional customer service skills and a true calling to help people in a service environment • Professional appearance with outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills • Reliable, respectful, a positive outlook, motivated and a team player • 2+ years of experience operating excavation construction equipment • Training and certification in excavation & trenching safety is preferred • Ability to always work in a safety conscious manner • The ability to operate excavation construction equipment with competency and caution, and adhere to safety procedures and requirements • Previous experience working on sewers, waterlines or other plumbing related underground work a plus • The ability to communicate on a continuous basis with job supervisor or Fleet Manager regarding assigned duties. • Use hand tools such as wrenches, sockets, screwdriver, sledgehammer, and others to accomplish daily tasks to maintain and/or repair equipment. • Perform scheduled maintenance on assigned equipment (oil and filter changes, minor repairs and troubleshooting as necessary); notify Fleet Manager of any deficiencies or repairs needed. • Inspect equipment and maintain a log of all equipment-related deficiencies. • Maintain warehouse including inventory, trash pickup, keeping tools organized, proper storage of equipment at end of workday. • Ability to regularly lift up to 75 lbs. and kneel repetitively during shift • Willing to work in all types of weather • Technology savvy, can work with modern technology including tablets and smart phones • Valid driver's license with clean, insurable driving record • Must be able to pass a background check as well as a drug test. Fox Plumbing & Heating has a ZERO- TOLERANCE drug policy. • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience • Veterans encouraged to apply • This is only a partial list of potential duties, other duties as assigned Pay Rate: Competitive base hourly rate depending on experience with, overtime opportunities, performance-and bonus potential. Typical work week is 7:30am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday with some overtime on an as needed basis. There may be some late nights, extended hours and/or weekends as business needs dictate.
