Electrical & Pneumatic Machine Technician

Company Overview: Century Design, Inc. (CDI) is a well-established OEM machine manufacturer for the composite industry that is looking for an experienced electrical and pneumatics technician interested in working in a growing, fast-paced environment. Position: CDI is currently seeking a qualified candidate with strong electrical and control wiring skills who is comfortable in a machine assembly environment. Candidates should be okay with primarily located at our build facility in San Diego, with ability to travel up to 25% of the time to support both existing machines and new installations at customer sites. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years experience in machine wiring, including sensor/actuator wiring & cable tray routing Read and understand electrical schematics and pneumatics drawings Conduct basic point-to-point checks of wiring, including basic troubleshooting where necessary Capable of researching component installation and startup documentation Working knowledge of industrial control components (induction motors, servos, field I/O) Knowledge of applicable machine wiring codes (NFPA-79, UL508A, NEC) United States Citizen or permanent resident Preferred Qualifications: Experience wiring UL508A electrical panels PLC programming experience (Ladder, STL) Working knowledge of EPLAN electrical design software Pneumatics plumbing and installation Sensor calibration, including the ability to research new components and their installation & calibration procedures Work Hours: Project-based with base hours from 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime is possible.
