We are a family owned and operated distributor based in Westchester County NY. We are currently seeking a shift supervisor for our overnight Shift. We are looking for a hands on candidate that can lead by example while working alongside our union warehouse crew of roughly 25. This is not a desk job, or a manager of managers position. The job pays a competitive salary and includes benefits such as: -Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance -401K with company match up to 4% -4 Day work week for most of the year As the OVERNIGHT SHIFT supervisor, you will be in charge of insuring that all the orders for the day are completed and that trucks are loaded before the drivers begin to arrive around 5am. Typical hours are Monday- Thursday 4pm-5am Typical duties include: -Reassigning individual work flow for each worker over the course of the night -Overseeing order production (pulling and checking of orders) -Assisting with truck routing -Staying on top of our overnight office staff to insure that all paperwork is completed -Personal and discipline issues if necessary One of the most important traits that we are looking for is the ability to proactively manage the work flow in our warehouse. Over the course of a shift a single worker may go from putting away stock, to pulling an order, to double checking orders, to staging orders for delivery, to loading the trucks. It is essential that you are able to think on your feet and reassign workers at the correct times in order to keep everything moving efficiently.
