Friends, family and fellow business owners I am reaching out to you in hopes you will spread the word and graciously show your support. One of our own at Regional Emergency Dispatch Center (RED Center) needs our love & encouragement ! On July 27th the DeMando's Family life was forever changed. Their sweet little 4yr old superhero Vinny was diagnosed with Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy. As parents we all have hopes and dreams for our children’s life but sometimes these paths are challenged & changed because our children are meant to make a bigger impact in a different way...I have no doubt that Vinny is going to make a big impact on many peoples lives and hearts of those not just in his life presently but the many Doctors, nurses and strangers he will meet along this journey💪🏻 Duchenne muscular dystrophy, sometimes shortened to DMD or just Duchenne, is a rare genetic disease. It primarily affects males, but, in rare cases, can also affect females. Duchenne causes the muscles in the body to become weak and damaged over time, and is eventually fatal. The genetic change that causes Duchenne — a mutation in the DMD gene — happens before birth and can be inherited, or new mutations in the gene can occur spontaneously. People with Duchenne muscular dystrophy typically require the use of a wheelchair during their early teenage years. The life expectancy for people with Duchenne muscular dystrophy ranges from early to late 20's This benefit is to help provide relief for them as they travel this road of uncertainty. The best support you can provide a family is showing your love and support & we have the opportunity to help alleviate some of these hurdles financially as well!
