We utilize a holistic, trauma-integrated approach to treating addiction and integrating physical health, emotional healing and family reunification. The women who enter our doors are complex and have faced multiple traumas, which have contributed to their drug and alcohol abuse. By using a trauma-integrated model, our addiction counselors help clients learn about their disease, how it developed, and how to cope in a sober environment. Our graduates develop life management skills, parenting skills and an overall sense of independence and self-sufficiency. TREATING ADDICTION, LIBERATING LIVESOur Mission: The mission of the Women’s Recovery Center is to serve women and their families by providing comprehensive substance abuse treatment, prevention, and education programs that are client-centered, family-based, and recovery-focused At the Women’s Recovery Center, treatment services are based individual needs. Our three-stage, comprehensive addiction treatment programs include trauma recovery education, family roles and relationships education, parenting classes, art therapy, individual needs assessment, case management and relapse prevention education. Treatment is available with morning, afternoon and evening hours. The Women’s Recovery Center provides treatment for all women regardless of their ability to pay for services. Fees are based on a sliding scale with many clients asked to pay nothing. The Women’s Recovery Center has been recognized by the Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board of Cuyahoga County as the 2002 Adult Drug and Alcohol Treatment Facility of the Year in Cuyahoga County and presented the John F. Lewis Award as an Outstanding Outpatient Treatment Facility.
