Description
Celebrate the Freida Fromm-Reichmann Cottage - Rockville's First National Landmark with Peerless Rockville and your friends and neighbors! On January 13th, 2021, the Secretary of the Interior designated Frieda Fromm-Reichmann Cottage as a National Historic Landmark. It is the first Landmark in Rockville - earning this remarkable national recognition for its association with Dr. Frieda Fromm-Reichmann and her significant contributions to the field of medicine as a psychoanalyst. As owners of Frieda’s Cottage, Peerless Rockville celebrates this national recognition with all of Rockville! Dr. Fromm-Reichmann was a minority immigrant woman fleeing Nazi Germany who made groundbreaking contributions to her scientific field. Peerless Rockville is proud to have her cottage represent these amazing achievements for the benefit of the Rockville community and the entire country. Join us, your neighbors, and Frieda Fromm-Reichmann's biographer Dr. Gail Hornstein for an event celebrating Frieda's remarkable life and home in Rockville. Enjoy light refreshments, tour the grounds of Frieda's Cottage and the former Chestnut Lodge Sanitarium where she worked, and learn more about her life from a presentation by her biographer.
