A sunset cruise on eBikes to the beach SUMMER SALE - SAVE 10% until 9/30/21! Use promo code SUMMER10.Formerly home to thousands of acres of potato fields and later on a quiet retreat for artists and writers, Sagaponack is surrounded by bucolic landscapes and is now as well known for its tony atmosphere and architecture as it is for its storied farm stands. Our sunset electric bike ride to the beach begins when you check-in and meet our eBike team for a riders’ meeting in the Village Parking Lot at 99 School Street (behind the Candy Kitchen; look for our GO GO Van), and to be properly fitted and oriented to your Royal Dutch Gazelle electric bike. Our 15 mile guided tour experience will be a thoroughly enjoyable ride to the pavilion at Sagg Main Beach, and follows much of the historic street racing route of the vintage Bridgehampton Sports Car Races, but at a relaxing, no-rush pace on a modern Class 1 electric bike. In 2016, on a trip to the Lakes District in England, he and his wife, Mary Anna, rented their first eBikes. That adventure opened their eyes to the enjoyment of electrically assisted bicycling. There was no going back! Soon after, they bought their first eBikes. Now, no trip is complete without an eBike for their adventures all over the world, whether here or abroad. “Each time you ride an eBike,” Andy says, “it’s like a mini-vacation!” Traveling extensively on eBikes to other states and countries made Andy aware of the need for safe infrastructure for bicyclists and pedestrians in the Hamptons and on the North Fork. As a result, he has become involved with the Southampton Town Transportation Bicycle Committee and he now volunteers as an advisor to the NYS Empire State Trail to facilitate safer bike paths on Eastern Long Island. The goal: to encourage people to use bicycles and eBikes instead of cars for transportation and recreation. Andy is hopeful this initiative will grow as more and more people discover how eBikes are a viable, non-polluting, healthful and enjoyable alternative to cars – and demand better cycle- and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure. Wishing to share his enthusiasm for eBikes with others, and bring riders to the best places to experience this “new way to move” on eastern Long Island, Andy decided that 2021 was the ideal time to start a unique mobile eBike rental and touring experience, ELECTRIC BIKES A GO GO!
