Embark on a journey of fire and flame with Jason Dederich of Buffalo Glass Company as you take on designing and blowing your own ornament. ********YOU MUST BE VACCINATED TO TAKE THE CLASS******** Your instructor is vaccinated and for the safety of all participants and their families, this is expected. The instructor will demonstrate the production of a glass ornament from start to finish and then assist each student in making a nice ornament, Students can choose color, design, and blow the piece themselves with the help of the instructor rotating the piece evenly unless the student would like to try it themselves. The loop is the hardest part and once again will be finalized by the instructor unless the student would like to do it themselves. As always the instructor can fix/finalize the piece as the process goes… but only to a certain extent. The instructor’s help is recommended all the way for the production of a clean ornament in the end. Buffalo Glass company was created by local artisan, Jason Dederich.  Jason is a skilled tradesman who studied glass blowing at RIT.  He returned to the Buffalo area in 2011 and is interested in finding new ways to share his love of glass with the Buffalo community.  Jason offers 2-3 hour glass blowing lessons where participants get the opportunity to learn glass blowing skills and even get to leave with an ornamnet or other object that they help make!  Jason also has apprenticship opportunities and of couse he can custome make just about anything!
