Join 2021 International Folk Art Market Artist, Olinda Silvano, as she shares her history, her songs, and her hopes for the future of Peru.
Shipibo-konibo artist Olinda Silvano uses geometric Shipibo weaving designs, "kené," to create large works of public art. Olinda uses traditional and contemporary geometric patterns to capture nature’s mystical power and draw a map to the future. Olinda will speak on her journey and her activism at the IFAM Center on September 22, 2021. She will also be hosting a pop-up shop at the center in the days following her lecture.
