Essential Job Functions & Tasks: Clean all common areas and rooms by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, waxing and polishing. Empty and sanitize trash containers. Move, rearrange, and dust furniture and fixtures. Wipe and polish exterior doors, polish brass doorknobs and other fixtures. Vacuum dining rooms and wipe tables and chairs after use. Mix and blend cleaning solutions to proper concentrations for each task and ensure proper usage. Clean and polish all entryway and lobby glass, doors and furniture. Vacuum and mop entryway floors as needed, dust mini-blinds as needed. Buff and polish highly visible and heavily used areas needing extra attention as needed. Supervisor/ Crew Leader: Be able to work in harmony with others.Must possess good problem-solving skills and be a self-starter. Must be able to multitask, possess patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm. Be diplomatic and professional when dealing with any person in the work environment. Must adhere to all safety requirements applicable to each jobsite.Must display initiative and sound judgement in evaluating and reacting to situations. Take the lead in training new employees with their janitorial duties on their assigned accounts. Supervise subordinates in the performance of duties. Establish work schedules to assure timely completion of work activities. Responsible for the quality and quantity of work completed and performed by the crew assigned. Train and coach the employees on the assigned crew. Provide input and insight on performance levels and developmental needs of employees on assigned crew to be included in performance appraisals. Ability to receive and understand oral and written orders and execute those orders effectively. Ability to give oral and written orders clearly and ensure those orders are followed effectively.
