Join us at the Goose Island Taproom on September 18th to support the Urban Initiatives Chicago Marathon fundraising efforts! We are grateful to partner with Goose Island for an afternoon supporting a great cause with a beer in hand. We'd love to have you join us! We'll be hanging out at the Goose Island Taproom (1800 W Fulton St, Chicago, IL 60612) on Saturday, September 18th from 1-5pm. Come whenever you want and stay as long as you'd like Your $25 event ticket will get you two draft beers and one raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes starting with a $150 gift card to Gibson's Restaurant Group. Additional raffle tickets will also be available the day of the event for $5 each. Most importantly, this event is supporting a great cause. Urban Initiatives (UI) is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization that uses the power of sport and play to empower Chicago’s youth to achieve academic success, develop social-emotional skills, and build social capital. Each year, UI partners with the Bank of America Chicago Marathon to give a small group of UI supporters the opportunity to run the Chicago Marathon and support UI in the process. All proceeds from the Goose Island event will go to the UI Marathon Team fund UI is excited to return to in-person programming with our elementary, middle, and high school participants this fall. With an emphasis on social emotional learning, UI is continuing to help students to process the COVID-19 crisis, connect with positive adult role models, and most importantly, get back to fun and play. This event, and Marathon Team fundraising in general, will help to support UI's return to in-person programming this fall!
