Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow (FIT) a nonprofit in Las Vegas currently has a position available for a Facilities Assistant. FIT provides job training, coaching and support based on job seekers' individual needs and the skills employers tell us they are looking for. We offer training in job sectors such as: CNA, CDL-A Truck Driving, Automotive Technician, Warehousing/Logistics and Forklift Training. The Facilities Assistant position requires knowledge of standard practices and methods used in maintenance including basic knowledge and repair of building facilities. This position reports to the Facilities Manager and Office Manager. Duties include: • Responsible for maintenance of all aspects of the grounds and real property used or occupied by FIT, including but not limited to equipment, building, grounds and parking facility. • Maintain furniture and fixtures in professional condition • Maintain building in good repair, inspecting as required • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required • Exercise discretion in identifying project requiring the services of higher skilled crafts person • Assist in ordering of maintenance supplies • Perform other duties as may reasonably be assigned • Cleaning and maintaining floors (sweeping, mopping), scrubbing and sanitizing restroom facilities Benefits: After 90 days (medical, dental, vision, 401k) Hours: Negotiable MUST SHOW PROOF OF FULL COVID VACCINATION
