The Great Co-Mission: a Discipleship Resourcing Forum for New England WHEN : Saturday November 6, 2021 from 9am – 4pm SCHEDULE 9:00-9:30 Registration and Connect 9:30-11:00 Worship & Keynote 11:00-12:00 Panel Discussion with Local Disciple-Making Leaders 12:00 – 1:30 Lunch & Break (lunch provided) 1:30 – 4:00 Workshops We have been invited to participate in the greatest mission of all time. Our Lord invited His disciples to go into all the world making disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey all He instructed. He reminded them that He was with them always as they went. The question many of us are asking is, “how do I actually do that?” Gordon Conwell Seminary is excited to partner with local disciple-making practioners from across New England to host this one-day consultation. You will hear from local disciple-makers that have seen multiplication of new disciples formed in New England as well as national leaders who support disciple-making multiplication in a variety of contexts. For local church leaders, there will be a workshop dedicated to navigating gradual culture change in your congregation to prioritize an effective discipleship strategy. WORKSHOPS 1. Discipling Spiritually Interested People Towards Faith – in this workshop, you will hear from New England disciple-makers about the skills to move your existing relationships into disciple-making relationships that multiply. Our workshop facilitators have over a decade of disciple-making multiplication experience throughout New England as well as internationally. 2. Leading Your Congregation towards Disciple-Making Ministry – It is one thing to cast vision; it is another to lead congregational change. Our workshop facilitators have been consulting local congregations for years through the change process required to position your ministry for discipleship. OPPORTUNITY We are excited that our partners have committed to offering more in-depth cohorts for your group beginning in January. We realize that one day events like this only start the conversation and that ongoing coaching will help us to implement these practices in our ministries. Be sure to connect with your facilitators about these opportunities. COST $30 *discounts for students are available, please contact the Discipleship Experience staff to register.
