Art at the Bend is the first annual art show fundraiser at Riverbend Church, featuring 45 artists, live demos, food, drinks, and live music. Austin is the city of creativity. There are so many artists and creatives in this fantastic city it can be dizzying. If you love or appreciate creativity and want to support the local art scene, but you're not sure where to find an excellent and affordable sampling of works for sale, then you need to check out Art at the Bend. Art at the Bend is a two-day event filled with food, drinks, music, and, most importantly, inspiring, original works of art for sale by local artists. The Riverbend campus will be adorned with creations by painters, metal workers, photographers, jewelry designers, and all kinds of makers. This event is open to everyone in Austin and will support local Austin artists and make affordable art available to all who attend. Riverbend's Women's Ministry sponsors this event, and a small portion of all sales will help fund women's programs at Riverbend. Sponsored by the Women of Riverbend and driven by a commitment to support the arts, the Riverbend Community Center is being commandeered by creatives for a cause. Over two days, the space will be adorned with the work of 45 jury-selected local artists, in order to raise funds to support the empowerment, health and healing of the women in Austin. ADDITIONAL DETAILS A delightful array of food and drink will be available including wine on Friday night and mimosas on Saturday. There will be opportunities to interact with artists and observe some demonstrating their art. Attendees can purchase art and art related items that will be available: at 45 individual artists’ spacesthrough a raffle and silent auctionranging from $15 and up for fine original art.Riverbend Church At Riverbend, we are deeply passionate about supporting and creating art.
