Hear the Story from two Marines who fought in the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir, across the snows of Korea, in November and December1950. American Legion Post 416 Foundation is pleased to present another special event in our Living History Series, featuring Veteran speakers, primarily from the World War II and Korean Conflict eras, who share their inspiring stories. "Voices of the Frozen Chosin Few" features a live interview with Lieutenant Colonel Gene White, USMC Retired, and Gunnery Sergeant Joe Kalla, USMC Retired, by our own Foundation 416 CEO, Ralph Bettencourt. They'll be sharing their stories of the fighting withdrawal from the Chosin Reservoir, to the Sea of Japan, in freezing weather, while severely out-numbered by Chinese troops. Tickets may be purchased for admission, or to host a guest Marine, for $25. Seating is limited, so buy now! American Legion Post416 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to endow Veteran services, including, providing a gathering place for Veterans and their families, communicate Veteran's issues to the community at large, and support Veteran causes. Our immediate goal is to develop a Veterans' Center, with meeting rooms and office space to house a professional Veterans Service Officer, provide resources to Veterans and enable other support for Veterans' services and active duty military and their families.
