Description

The 2021 Nev Co ERC Economic Summit is around the corner and this year our keynote speaker will be Dr. Christopher Thornberg. The annual Economic Development Summit brings together community stakeholders from both public and private business sectors, including leaders in government, healthcare, education, manufacturing, technology, agriculture, finance, and other industry throughout the region, to provide vital information regarding the health of our economy and the future of our community. Renowned economists come to Nevada County, drawing a picture of the national, regional, and local business temperature in a succinct and easy to understand manor, which provides area leadership with a vital tool to lean on when making plans for sustainability and for growth. Networking opportunities with area influencers during this unique afternoon is without comparison. The ERC Economic Summit is one of the few not-to-be-missed events for anyone with a stake in the economic well-being and livability of our communities and our highly sought-after way of life. The ERC appreciates support from key industries to make this important event possible, as the Summit also serves as the nonprofit’s primary fundraiser. Sponsors receive a great deal of exposure in front of many of the most influential members in our area. To find out how your organization can support the event, please contact [email protected]. Catering by Emily's Catering & Cakes Note: Safety Policies With audience and staff safety in mind the many venues have made the decision to require that patrons and artists alike either show proof of an FDA or WHO-approved vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 48 hours of in-house events. For attendees under the age of 12 and who are not eligible for vaccination negative test results will also be required. Each venue has their own requirements so individuals will need to refer to each venue for specific details. These measures are being taken in response to the rise in cases of the virus, specifically that of the Delta variant and the limited ICU capacity of area hospitals “The road to recovery for the arts remains bumpy, and this change in policy has been a tough decision,” said The Center’s executive director Amber Jo Manuel. “We are collectively hoping to maximize the safety and peace of mind for all who wish to attend our events, including those at risk and immunocompromised.” Citizens of Nevada County have a pioneering, fiercely independent, yet community minded spirit. They are innovators and inventors who want to make a difference, be globally connected, yet live away from the urban environment. Digital technology and high tech manufacturing are high-wage and high-growth industries that support our local workforce by providing both local and remote work opportunities. Our technology sector services and supports all other industries through cross-sector collaborations and initiatives.
