In partnership with Low Country Libations, Adjunction Function is a homebrew tasting and competition event! Competition Details: - $25 to register- entry into the homebrew tasting entry into the homebrew competition one event t-shirt- Each registered brewer can only enter one beer. The entry style must be a Stout, Blonde or IPA and contain at least 2 non-grain adjuncts (ie: fruit, vegetables..) - This is a non BJCP event. - Variations of the base style are allowed. Example, Imperial Stout or a Belgian IPA are both acceptable. - Beers will be judged by the brewers at the Frothy Beard Brewing Company based on the following questions. Do the adjuncts come through? How well are the adjuncts paired together? Is the flavor balanced with base beer?- Entries must arrive by November 1st to Frothy Beard Brewing Company - Each entry must be submitted in the form of 3, 12oz bottles - The winner will be announced on the day of the tasting event on November 7th at 430 Prize: The winner will be invited to Frothy Beard Brewing Company to BREW and CAN their winning beer on our 10bbl system! Once canned the winner will receive TWO cases of their winning brew. The winner will also receive a trophy and a spot on Frothy Beard's "Wall of Champions" for one year. Tasting Event Details:The tasting event is for homebrewers to showcase their brews to fellow brewers and the public! The tasting will begin at 1130am and go to 4pm. During the event each participant (including brewers) will receive a token to vote on their favorite beer. The brews with the most tokens will win. At 400pm collection cups will be taken and the tokens tallied. At 430pm the winners of the event and winner of the competition will be announced. - $5 per person for entry into the tasting When: November 7th , 1130am- 4pm - Each brewer must bring 3 gallons, in any preferred format , and a way to keep it cold. Frothy Beard will provide ice. - Frothy Beard will provide tables and tents but feel free to bring your own. - Their may be a "best table" prize, more details on that later 1st Place: Trophy, place on the wall of champions at Frothy for 1 year, Frothy $100 Gift Card, 50lb bag of base malt 2nd Place: Trophy, place on the wall of champions at Frothy for 1 year, Frothy $50 Gift Card 3rd Place: Trophy, place on the wall of champions at Frothy for 1 year If you have any questions or ideas feel free to email [email protected]
