I've thought for a long time about pulling together a New Orleans Second Line-ish band. Something like Extra Action Marching Band (love you guys!) but with less of a lifestyle. NOLA jazz, R&B adaptations, Lettuce, Ezra Collective, Wynton Marsalis, James Brown, Antibalas...Pink Floyd? Just something both amazing and danceable. Anyway, I've played trumpet in a local funk/rock band for many years, and jazz before that. We would need at minimum a tuba and percussion, and preferably with trombone, saxes (bari!?), and basically anything made of brass. Anybody interested? I have a possible rehearsal spot.
