Join Bike Walk Dunwoody for a Kid's Bike Safety Rodeo on Saturday, September 11th. Drop in anytime between 9 am & noon.
Bike Walk Dunwoody with support of Dunwoody Parks & Recreation, Dunwoody Police Department, Safe Kids DeKalb and DeKalb Fire Rescue is proud to present the Kid's Bike Rodeo at Pernoshal Park the morning of Saturday, September 11th.
This event is free and open to the public. Bring the kids for some great fun and learn about safe riding! Kids need to bring their own bikes and helmets. Participants will receive a formal Certificate of Completion signed by city officials. Snacks and refreshments will be available.
The rodeo will consist of several stations:
-Helmet fitting
-Bike inspection
-Obstacles, (safe riding lessons)
-Bike Security
-”Graduation” Bike Ride on the Dunwoody Trailway with Police and Much More!
We’re all about working with 8 year olds to 80 year olds in being able to safely bike or walk a couple of miles in getting around our hometown. From Safe Routes to School, to going out for an errand, meeting friends, heading to a park, getting to work. It’s all about family friendly options and choice.
