Singing is such a joy - let's get you singing (again!) 'For Starters' - Jazz, blues, folk, pop - all genres are welcome! This encouraging, safe online class, led by Pamela Rose, allows students to let their voices out no matter what their level. Basic concepts covered will include counting measures, exploring rhythmic feel, and some music theory. We will chip away at some of the fear and self-consciousness that keeps us from literally giving voice to ourselves! Students will need to provide their own backing tracks (iRealPro or karaoke) to take part, or we can create backing piano tracks for you in your key. Rose's philosophy is that everyone feels better when they sing more. No prior experience is necessary, open to all! We are registering students now for the Fall 2021 session at the Jazz School in Berkeley. This 10 week session is on Wednesdays, 4:45 to 6:15 pm, begin Sept 22. Classes will be online via zoom.
