Description

The Machinist's work includes assignment planning, layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manual machine shop equipment. They work from blueprints process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks which may include the cutting and shaping of metals and plastics to precision dimensions. The successful candidate may communicate directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly. They check and inspect machining operations against specified tolerances. The Machinist may identify and repair minor machine malfunctions. On the job training is available. We are willing to train candidates with limited experience. Job Duties * Acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks and adherence to production plan schedules while producing high quality products to standards. * Complete work orders on schedule to ensure a constant flow of finished product to support customer service levels. * Operate machinery and precision measurement equipment to manufacture molded parts and materials used in the production of ultrasound transducers. * Identify overdue or potentially overdue work orders and alert managers. Adhere to all established health and safety rules. Notify manager of all NCM (non-conforming material).REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Degree or Equivalent. * Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
