Rain Closes 2 Sarasota County COVID Testing Sites Thursday: DOH

Updated: 12:20 p.m., Thursday SARASOTA, FL — Two Sarasota County COVID-19 testing sites closed Thursday because of the rain. The walk-up site at the Robert L. Taylor Community Center in Sarasota closed earlier Thursday morning, while the drive-thru testing site at Dallas White Park in North Port closed in the early afternoon. Both sites will reopen Friday, weather permitting, the Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County said in a news release. The two other public coronavirus testing sites in Sarasota County remain open but may need to close periodically throughout the day because of the weather, the DOH said.
