VEJ alumnus Naim Edwards will lead a lively discussion of edible forests at the MSU Detroit Partnership for Food, Learning, and Innovation. Gather outdoors with friends and neighbors to learn about edible forests and the work happening at MSU's Detroit Partnership for Food, Learning, and Innovation. Your host and presenter will be VEJ alumnus Naim Edwards. Naim is a Detroit transplant passionate about using agriculture as a tool to address injustice. As director of the MSU - Detroit Partnership for Food, Learning, and Innovation, he strives to coordinate and implement programs that promote food sovereignty, alleviate poverty, and reverse climate change. Prior to his work with MSU, Naim led programs and started the neighborhood garden at VEJ's Hope House in Detroit. Naim holds science degrees from Morehouse College and the University of Michigan and he volunteered with the Peace Corps in Ecuador. VEJ will provide drinks and vegetarian goodies. Prayer, education, and action for Earth.
