POINT PLEASANT, NJ – The Point Pleasant Borough school district posted its updated school reopening plan online on Tuesday. According to district Superintendent Adam Angelozzi, the district's plan "is a living document that will be continually updated as necessary or required." "Our 2021-2022 School Opening Plan was updated to reflect relevant components of Executive Order No. 253," Angelozzi said. Two updates were made to the reopening plan by the district, according to Angelozzi. The first change was to the section titled "Ensuring Continuity of Educational Services." In that section, the district addressed the remote learning process for students who have to isolate or quarantine. According to the plan, all students will be provided a Chromebook. Students who must isolate or quarantine will get a Google Meet or Zoom link from their teachers, who will provide direct/teacher-led instruction through Google Meet or Zoom as needed. The other change made was the addition of a plan for meal distribution for quarantining or isolating students. According to the plan, students who must isolate or quarantine due to an in-school COVID-19 related matter, meal pick up will take place Monday after school from 3-4 p.m., students will receive lunch for Monday and Tuesday and breakfast for Tuesday and Wednesday, and Wednesday after school from 3-4 p.m., students will receive lunch for Wednesday through Friday and breakfast for Thursday through Monday.
