Description

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has ordered the Subway restaurant on South Craig Street in Oakland for several health violations. Responding to a complaint, a recent health department inspection showed water actively leaking above a food preparation area. Water was leaking onto a cutting board and a bowl was placed on the unit to catch the dripping water. The excess water was being collected in a trash can and mop bucket. Tomatoes, lettuce and peppers were still being used in the affected area. The eatery also lacked a certified food protection manager and was operating with an expired health permit. The restaurant will remain closed until the violations are corrected and another inspection occurs. See the complete inspection report here.
