Alar Water Treatment, LLC – Mokena, IL Alar Water Treatment is an established original equipment manufacturer located in Mokena, a southwest suburb of Chicago. Our primary business is industrial water treatment and filtration equipment. ALAR’s growth throughout the years is contributed by its ability to change and adapt, to serve a wide variety of industries. In this role, you will serve as the point of contact for our external customers requiring parts. You will develop an understanding of Alar’s manufacturing processes, providing valuable support to our external customers. The Customer Service Parts Coordinator works directly with and reports to the Purchasing Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITES • Main point of contact for customers via phone and email • Prepare customer quotes • Follow-up on submitted quotes to progress to order status • Accept and process customer purchase orders • Communicate any required changes needed for purchase order processing • Obtain freight quotes for customer part sales Domestic and Internationally • Provide and maintain accurate and current information on customer order status • Communicating with the customer regarding any order delays or issues • Provide the customer with a shipping status along with tracking once their order has been prepared • Verify and match packing slips to customer’s shipped orders; submitting to billing • In coordination with the Purchasing Manager, facilitate customer returns as required • Aid Purchasing Manager in tracking prepay and large parts orders • Participate in inventory processes as required • Assist Purchasing Manager with various projects as needed QUALIFICATIONS: • 1-3 years prior experience in a Customer Service related position • Must have the ability to analyze and determine priorities • Ability to complete multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency to meet customer needs • Strong organizational skills • Ability to communicate effectively with customers • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Must be detailed oriented • A self-starter capable of working both independently as well as part of a team • Establish and preserve a positive relationship with the customer base along with fellow co-workers • Experience with ERP software is helpful • Manufacturing or similar environment preferred, but not required ALAR offers a competitive salary; based upon experience.
