ELMHURST, IL — A person at Thorntons gas station, 476 N. York St., was walking with his wallet in his back pocket with cash exposed about 3 p.m. Tuesday, police said. Surveillance footage showed that another man took the cash and walk away.
The man was described as white or Hispanic, 5-foot-8, 180 pounds, and wearing a red baseball hat, sunglasses, blue and gray shirt, black shorts and white gym shoes.
Police were called to Thorntons again about 8 p.m. A woman dispensed gasoline without paying for it, police said. She entered the front passenger seat of the car, which then headed south on York Street. She was described as white, having blond hair and a thin build, and wearing a purple and pink skirt and white sandals.
