About Me: - I play bass, guitar, piano, and drums but I feel most competent on the synth and drums, of which I often practice playing simultaneously. I work remotely full time as a software engineer and have a studio built out in my home where I have the ability to record on a whim. I enjoy making music that is complex but not complicated and always prefer vibe to tech. I am somewhat philosophically inclined and generally just try the best I can to be a compassionate and good person. Influences: - Song Structure/Tonal Influences: Radiohead (my favorite band), Boards of Canada, Erik Satie, Interpol, and Beach House - General Inspiration/ Other music I like: Terry Riley, Maurice Ravel, Four Tet, Squarepusher, Sumac, The Locust, The Sawtooth grin, James Holden, Flying Lotus, Charles Mingus, Grouper, James Blake, Deerhunter, Grizzly Bear, Daughters, and a bunch of other stuff. What Id like to play: - Id like to make visceral, synthy, gritty, beautiful music that experiments with electronics, time signature, key, and general vibe. Basically, I'd like to take a yes-and approach to writing music with people and see what we can come up with together, unimpeded by any individuals expectations or preconceived idea of a genre.
