KINEXX MODULAR CONSTRUCTION is currently searching for highly-motivated candidates for full-time employment at our module manufacturing facility on the Southwest Side of Chicago. We are looking to recruit general laborers and assembly workers who are eager and ready to take part in a new way of building residential homes. Minimum Requirements: · Able to follow directions from supervisors · Works well in a team environment · Lift heavy materials & perform manual labor · Eager and willing to learn and explore new methods of home construction · Understands the importance of safety on the job · Have reliable transportation to get to the factory and build sites, if need be Additional Favorable Qualifications Include: · Experience working in a production line · Proficient in using power tools · Able to read and interpret blueprints · Past residential construction experience Your skills will help determine the roles of this position for you. Initially, you may be asked to perform many different construction/assembly/maintenance tasks, but those roles will likely become more defined as we assess which skills are your strongest. An example of some of the roles you may be asked to fill include the following: · Shop cleaning and maintenance · Material prepping - Cutting wood and metal pieces · Assembling metal framing · Material handling · Among other functions as well... All open positions are hourly, non-exempt, with pay based on past experience, ability, and motivation. Pay is biweekly. Working hours currently are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday (Summer Hours). Normal hours after Labor Day are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. We generally do not work on weekends, however dependent on job demand, overtime and minimal weekend work may be required.
