EXCITING OPPORTUNITY IN AVIATION! Aero Mag 2000 is looking for seasonal (Sept-May) airplane deicers at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. We provide flexible scheduling, all the training needed and opportunities for advancement. JOB DESCRIPTION: You will drive a large de-ice truck near and around a parked airplane. You will spray the airplane with de-ice fluid to clean off any snow, frost, ice, or other frozen precipitation in accordance with the de-ice training. You will perform a variety of other tasks that are required in and during the de-ice operation. For example: filling your truck with deice fluid, completing inspections of your truck, communicating effectively via radios, etc. You are expected to abide by all safety guidelines (personal and operational) during your shift. Your training will include a classroom format where you will learn deicing concepts and airplane anatomy. It will also include a practical (hands on) format where you will learn airport familiarity and truck operation. This training must be completed on a yearly basis. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum age: 18 years • Possess a valid driver’s license • Obtain a CLE airport badge, which includes a criminal background check • Must be drug free and be able to pass initial and random drug tests – this is a drug free workplace • Pass all testing and training modules • Possess two (2) forms of the following valid ID Social Security card / Driver’s license / Passport / Green Card / Work Visa PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Climb up and down ladder attached to the back of the deice trucks • Work at heights (deice pod can elevate up to 50ft) • Lift 50 lb. hoses for filling trucks with fluids • Speak and write English • Work in icy, cold conditions – including the commute to and from work • Previous heavy equipment experience is an asset We are looking for individuals who are alert, flexible and available.
