Description
Our business is assembling prefabricated bridges/culverts/pipes for customers throughout the Eastern US. Most jobs are 3-7 days in duration and require extensive travel. Must have own reliable transportation. Hotel, gas money, and per diem provided. Weekend work is common - especially when we are out-of-town. Job requires a lot of walking, climbing, lifting up to 75 pounds, and exposure to weather. Work is often performed on ladders, scaffolding and manlifts. All of our structures are assembled with thousands of bolts. The typical work procedure is to position the metal plates, line up the pre-punched holes, insert bolts, and tighten the nuts with an impact wrench. We have work coming up in Elizabeth City, NC and Central Virgina with more bidding monthly.
IMPORTANT: Currently this is not a full-time job. Hours are not guaranteed. Pay is hourly PER JOB, not each week. We call it permanent-part-time. The ideal person has another part-time job and is looking for more work between jobs. It is common for us to work 60 hours in a week and then have a couple of weeks off waiting for the next project to be ready for our services. Work boots required, PPE provided.
