Old door needs to be removed. I have purchased a used door in great condition, making sure it's the right size (9x7). The new one came with brand new rollers and tracks, but a single large rusty spring. Not sure if the current springs (there are 2) can be used instead or if rusty springs are fine- obviously I'm not a garage door contractor. I am on a very tight budget with this rehab, so I am not looking for it to be the most amazing garage door on the planet... just something basic and functional to replace the rotted wood one that's on there now. Lastly, I have an old chain driven door opener that I would like to continue to use as it works fine, however I need a universal remote for it to keep in the vehicle. I have no idea what happened to the old remote. When responding to this ad, please state your experience level with garage door replacement.
