Hudson Valley Fire Inc. has immediate openings for Sprinkler/Pipe Fitter. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Cutting, threading, and grooving pipe. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Must be mechanically inclined. 2. Able to work at heights, and lift at least 75 lbs. 3. Good communication skills, and maintain proper documentation for work performed. 4. Planning, organizational abilities, and a positive attitude required. 5. Must be able to work independently and jointly with others. 6. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, follow directions and meet deadlines. 7. Adhere to company safety policies and procedures. 8. Must be able to work alternative shifts, or weekends to meet customer and/or job requirements. Basic Qualifications: -Must speak English. - Be able to read and write in English. - High degree of mechanical aptitude. - Valid driver's license, in good standing. - Reliable means of transportation. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Technical or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to the Operations Manager.
