City Ice Pavilion, an ice skating rink located in Long Island City, NY, located near public transportation and major highways, is looking for an experienced cleaner/janitor, full and part-time, starting immediately. As our janitor be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of three floors of the ice rink including entry, stairs, stairwell, halls, locker rooms, offices, bathrooms, skate rental, elevators, ducts and vents, bleachers and all areas surrounding the ice and rink, including refuse removal from all areas. You’ll also do periodic deep cleaning throughout the facility, light handyman work and painting, and assist in ice rink maintenance. You’ll also be in charge of restocking all cleaning products and alerting your manager as to restocking needs. During major weather events such as snowstorms, you’ll assist in snow removal from the roof and other areas of the facility and building. You will interact with customers on a limited basis, but always be respectful of their needs and requests. Answer customer questions to the best of your ability.
