JOB DESCRIPTION The Distribution Center Manager (DC Manager) oversees the strategic operations within the areas of receiving, shipping, storage/distribution of goods, and logistics. The DC Manager directs activities and provides coaching to associates and supervisors. The DC Manager works alongside with the team, providing guidance to ensure maximum quality of service and productivity. You will work with management to complete the given directives of the company. You will ensure compliance with all safety, hygiene, and other policies. YOU WILL.... GENERAL: - Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures - Ensure a high level of customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues related to fulfillment and logistics workflows - Maintains physical condition of distribution center by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement INVENTORY: - Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system Perform inventory audits and address nonconformities TEAM: - Complete distribution center operational requirements by hiring, training, scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results - Design, develop and implement warehousing training programs - Track performance metrics, ensure processes, and evaluate team performance against metrics - Provide all associates with the necessary tools, proper training, and corrective direction SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE: - Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by understanding and studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions - Safeguard distribution center operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols AT MINIMUM YOU ARE / YOU HAVE.... - At least 5+ years of supervisory management experience running a distribution center - Ecommerce industry work experience, preferably in a fast-growing food or online grocery business - Associate's degree or related management work experience - High degree of computer literacy, including comfort with Excel/Google Sheets and inventory management software - Able to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills are a must - Bilingual in Chinese and English preferred - Familiarity with material handling equipment; forklift license preferred APPLICATION:
