Take an evening stroll in your town and learn to identify our amazing trees we cherish. Meet the Trees! The Berwyn Heights Green Team invites you on a short evening walk to learn how to recognize common native and ornamental trees in our neighborhood. Starting at the Berwyn Heights Town Hall parking lot, we'll walk an easy loop on streets and sidewalks, noticing tree characteristics and practicing identification skills using tools like a dichotomous key and iNaturalist. No experience is necessary! We'll also hear about the benefits of our beautiful tree canopy, and how to maintain and increase those benefits. Our guide will be local arborist and landscape contractor Mark Emmell. (Note: The Tree ID walk is child-appropriate but not child-oriented.)
