Rob Maher (Comedy Central and Dry Bar) headlines Draughts & Laughs11 at Checkerspot Brewing Co. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 8PM Draughts & Laughs 11 on September 25th returns to Checkerspot Brewing Company for a night of Stand-up comedy! Tickets are $15 in advance (until 1pm on day of the show) or can be purchased at the door for $20 if there are any left. This show tends to sell out on the regular. Show Time is 8:00PM. Show seating will begin at 7PM. The brewery opens at noon on Saturdays. Food service and full drinks service is available. No Outside Food or Drink! Headliner: Rob Maher starred in the Washington, D.C. episode of Kevin Hart’s Comedy Central show, Hart of the City. He is a Comedy Central’s Up Next Competition Semi Finalist and his Dry Bar Comedy Special, “You Can Make it Here…” just dropped. Rob’s also had the fortunate opportunity to go overseas and perform for our troops. He’s performed in 17 countries including Afghanistan, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, Greece and Italy. Features: Nicole Walkow is a stand-up comedian based in Washington DC. When she's not telling jokes at venues such as The DC Improv, Arlington Drafthouse, and the DC Comedy Loft- you can find her writing jokes at home, or writing jokes on her phone in the bathroom at her day job. Before he became a comedian, CJ was playing semi professional football where he played 16 years and during that time he played for 3 different teams. The Arbutus Big Red, Baltimore Bulls and The Carroll County Cannons where he won 3 championships with 2 with the big red and 1 with the Cannons. CJ’s stage presence demands attention and he will give you your monies worth every time he steps on stage. The other great aspect of CJ is that he has a great attitude and always gives his all. Jamie Benedi is DC-based comedian who’s performed at The DC Improv, The State Theater, The Laughing Skull Lounge in Atlanta, and many other places. Peter Wong is a Queens residing comedian born in Hong Kong. He produces/writes/acts in comedy videos which have been featured on Tosh.0, Comedy Central, and FunnyOrDie. Special Guest: Ronald James Host: Mike Quindlen (producer of this very show) lives in Baltimore, but is from Philadelphia. That said, he hates morons who fight over the Eagles and Flyers! (You can leave Philly but it NEVER leaves you!) He is sardonic and rye but pudgy and a bit optimistically delusional. He has DNR tattooed over his heart and despises Pepsi products & a good bit of his immediate family! He has opened for Rich Vos, J.B. Smoove, Alonzo Bodden, the late John Weatherspoon, Doug Stanhope and a few other legends. Mike is also the founder and creative director of the Ellicott Silly Comedy Festival. Mike Quindlen Presents
