Adams for a conversation and booksigning Mackey Twins Art Gallery, Inc. and Michelle Bernard are pleased to present and host Katrina M. Adams for a conversation and book signing event in celebration of her book Own the Arena: Getting Ahead, Making A Difference, and Succeeding as the Only One. What: Conversation and Book Signing with Katrina M. Adams When: Wednesday, October 6, 2021 | 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm Where: Mackey Twins Art Gallery Inc., 457 E Sidney Avenue, Mt. Vernon, NY 10553 Who: Katrina M. Adams, the first Black commentator of The Tennis Channel, former President and CEO of the United States Tennis Association, the only Black woman and youngest person ever to hold the position. Books will be available for purchase! Space is LIMITED. RSVP is required for admittance. As per CDC guidelines, masks are required and social distancing will be observed. About Mackey Twins Art: Mackey Twins Art Gallery, Inc. is more than the identical images of the owners. Karen is currently Vice President of Government and Community Affairs; and twin sister Sharon is the former Executive Director of Continuing & Professional Studies, both at The City College of New York. Over 35 years ago they were public high school teachers, and that’s when the love of art began. They visited art galleries weekly and spent hours perusing and ultimately purchasing prints. As they learned more, they recognized the value and responsibility of acquiring original work; and eventually started their own business in the form of a home gallery. Their commitment has remained consistent since they started the gallery about 15 years ago: • to develop communities of collectors by exposing all races to artists of color • to educate on the responsibility of supporting artists and • to create options for ownership of original art work.
